Shinkiba & Yumenoshima Photorogayning Tournament

The much-talked-about sports "Photorogaining" is coming!
Walk or run OK, let's aim for victory as a team!

photologainingis "a sport that collects points for checkpoints within the time limit based on a map". Develop a strategy as a team and score points by taking the same photo as the sample! The number on the map is the score as it is, and the team with the highest total score is ranked higher.

This event was planned in conjunction with the “Shinkiba & Yumenoshima Exciting Osanpo Art Festival” (October 18-November 20), where visitors can appreciate art works scattered around the Shinkiba/Yumenoshima area. Please enjoy the art works displayed here and there. We hope that you will enjoy and feel the unique scenery of Shinkiba, which is famous as a lumberyard, and Yumenoshima, which was once called "Trash Island".

How to play Photorogaining

The 1st to 3rd place award groups will be awarded a special "wooden medal" made by Enokido Lumber Shop!
Other luxurious prizes such as “Wooden Cutting Board” and “Meiji Co., Ltd. Sweets and Food Assortment” are planned.

For those who wish, we will present a yew tree Buddha by lottery! You can participate in the lottery from the entry box at the reception on the day.

Shinkiba & Yumenoshima

A wood town that was born in the Edo period as a cornerstone of Edo Castle renovation and large-scale urban development. After the Great Fire of Meireki, the area was moved to Kiba. And after 1945, "Shinkiba" became a new place of relocation in the form of reconstruction. In 1981, all 635 companies finished relocating, making it the world's largest timber park.

The neighboring "Yumenoshima" was completed as a landfill site for garbage during the high economic growth period. A pool, a botanical garden, and a park full of greenery that use the residual heat of the Shin-Koto Incineration Plant have transformed into a land that entertains visitors.

These two areas, which have followed a strange fate together with the history of Japan, have something in common: they carefully utilize their resources and connect them to the present. Please feel the charm of this area through this tournament held hand in hand.
