October 1st is Tokyo Citizens' Day. To commemorate this, admission to Yumenoshima Tropical Botanical Garden will be free for everyone!
There will also be a special music event just for this day.
"Tokyo Citizens' Day" is a commemorative day established by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on October 1st every year. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness of local autonomy among Tokyo residents and to promote the development of Tokyo and the improvement of the welfare of its residents. It commemorates the founding of Tokyo City as an ordinary city with a mayor on October 1st, 1898. It was established as "Tokyo Citizens' Day" in 1952.
