Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse Dome

Important Notice

As part of its efforts to expand renewable energy use at city-owned facilities, Tokyo Metropolitan Government will be installing a solar carport equipped with solar panels in the south (first) parking lot of Yumenoshima Park. Due to construction, a portion of the parking lot will be closed. Once construction begins, those visiting the Yumenoshima Tropical Botanical Garden are advised to use public transportation whenever possible. Additionally, a portion of the garden path will be closed from October to December due to construction. Plants have evolved in the favorable environment of tropical rainforests.
Many species live crammed together in a small area.
The green of the plants, the vivid flowers, the light streaming in...a relaxing and healing space is here.

Plants from the subtropical and Ogasawara Islands in Tokyo are collected here. Visitors can also enjoy endemic species such as the octopus tree and the munin nobotan.
Enjoy the feeling of traveling to the Ogasawara Islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean about 1,000 km south.

The museum is a facility that broadly introduces "the relationship between tropical plants and human life.
You can enjoy learning at various special exhibitions, events, and video halls.

Grown on heat from the waste disposal plant.

A greenhouse full of beautiful plants. The energy required for heating is covered by high-temperature water sent from the incineration plant. Plants grow with the heat of burning garbage. It is a facility that has been using energy without waste for over 30 years.

Yumenoshima Tropical Botanical Garden will cultivate and exhibit over 1,000 species of tropical plants to preserve plant diversity, and will make various efforts to provide a dream-like experience and a sustainable society. Connect to our children's future!
